Strengthen damaged teeth with a colour-matched veneer
Have your teeth sustained so much wear and tear over the years that you’ve lost confidence in your smile? If that’s the case, it might be time to think about restoring your smile. The appearance of cracks, chips, and discolouration in your teeth can be improved through veneers.
Veneers are created using ceramic materials, which are colour-matched to your teeth and then bonded to them to cover any damage. They should make your teeth appear restored and without visible problems.
When you visit us for your consultation, we’ll advise you on whether a veneer or a crown is more appropriate, depending on how much of your original tooth is damaged. Crowns are used when the damage is severe.
Your tooth will need to be shaped prior to having the veneer fitted. This will involve a small bit of enamel being remove from the tooth surface. A mould of the tooth will also be made to ensure the sliver of porcelain used is precisely the right size. When the veneer itself has been crafted, it will be bonded to your tooth.
Your patient journey
You’ll need to visit us for a consultation before you have a veneer fitted, as we’ll need to determine the nature of the tooth damage that will be covered, as well as what type of veneer shape will be required. Precise measurements are important in order for the veneer to blend in with your teeth.
You’ll experience the utmost patient care during your treatment. Your damaged tooth will receive its bespoke veneer and you’ll leave our surgery with a restored smile.
You’ll be advised about how to best care for your veneer once the treatment is complete. We want your veneer to last for many years and so will provide you with information on how to best clean and maintain it.
